    Admission period for ADA International Fellowship Programme now open

    ADA University in Baku, Azerbaijan, has launched an International Fellowship Programme meant to prepare global leaders who have a strong commitment to serve a public cause. This fellowship is open to all international undergraduate and graduate applicants who have been admitted to one of ADA University’s degree-granting schools and are renewable for the duration of studies when certain criteria are met upon availability of funds. Alimardan Bay Topchubashov Fellowship covers the tuition fee and rent of housing, recipients are expected to cover all other expenses.

    On 23 November, the EaP Plus project held a webinar on 'Sustainable Process Industry (SPIRE)' 2018 Calls for EU and EaP participants.The new Work Programme 2018-2020 on 'Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials, Biotechnology and Advanced Manufacturing and Processing' particularly encourages international cooperation with Eastern Partnership countries (Ukraine, Moldova, Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan and Belarus) in the frame of the SPIRE calls.

    The German-Ukrainian Forum of Young Researchers

    The University of Tübingen and the German-Ukrainian Academic Society  are organising the German-Ukrainian Forum of Young Researchers, supported by the DAAD with funding of the German Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF). This event will consist of two parts: 1. An exploratory and networking tour, visiting some of the leading Ukrainian Universities and research institutes (Kyiv and Lviv/Kharkiv, 7-12 December 2017) and 2. An intensive grant-writing and coaching workshop in Berlin, Germany (9-10 February 2018).

    Upcoming Horizon 2020 Calls addressing Eastern Partnership Countries

    A unique opportunity for researchers in the EaP countries is coming up soon! EU and EaP partners should now start to form consortia to prepare joint proposals in two thematic fields of Horizon 2020: 'Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials, Biotechnology, Advanced Manufacturing and Processing' and 'Smart, Green and Integrated Transport'. In the new Work Programmes 2018-2020 (published on 27 October 2017) there is a whole batch of calls recommending 'in particular' the cooperation with the Eastern Partnership countries.

    Grants for networking in Brokerage Events and Preparatory Meetings

    The EaP PLUS Team has announced the 2nd round of the 'Call for Grants for networking in Brokerage Events or Preparatory Meetings'. This grant for networking financially supports the participation of researchers from Eastern Partnership countries in Brokerage Events related to Horizon 2020 and Preparatory Meetings for the development of H2020 project proposals. The 2nd round of the scheme will give special priority to applications concerning SPIRE calls which are explicitly encouraging participation from EaP countries.
