Meeeting on Education and Science held in Georgia

On May 23, Office of the State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration organised a meeting on education and science related issues between representatives of the government and Georgia's National Platform of Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum. Representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science of Georgia and non-governmental organisations of the Georgia's National Platform of Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum participated in the meeting.

First Deputy State Minister of Georgia on European and Euro-Atlantic Integration, Archil Karaulashvili, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of Georgia, Lia Gigauri, Head of the Georgia's National Platform of Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum, Kakha Gogolashvili and National Coordinator of the Eastern Partnership Civil Society Forum, Lasha Tugushi addressed the participants.

The meeting focused on improving the regulating normative base of the education system and refining the teachers' professional development system, as well as, school infrastructure-related matters and provision of school material. Inclusive education for people with disabilities and issues related to introducing directions for vocational education were discussed at the meeting.
