    Moldovan Innovations presented in Brussels

    Moldovan inventions were presented at the 63rd edition of the world exhibition on inventions, research and new technologies 'Brussels Innova', which was held in the period 13 - 15 November, 2014 in Brussels. The Republic of Moldova was represented by the Agency for Innovation and Technology Transfer, State Agency on Intellectual Property and nine new products developed in the last two years. Following the assessment of an international jury, Moldovan inventors were awarded with six gold medals, two silver medals, one bronze medal, and two special prizes.

    UNECE to help Armenia reform innovation policies

    On the occasion of the official launch of the UNECE Innovation Performance Review of Armenia in Yerevan on 14 November 2014, the two sides agreed to cooperate on innovation policy reform. Under the agreement, which is to be signed at the 66th session of the Economic Commission for Europe in April 2015, UNECE will provide policy advice and capacity building services to Armenia over the coming three years to strengthen the innovative capacity of the Armenian economy. Armenia also invited UNECE to conduct a second Innovation Performance Review in 2017 to assess progress.

    International NCP Workshop – Promoting the International Dimension of Horizon 2020

    The Workshop aims to highlight the global dimension of Horizon 2020 and facilitate the exchange of views for the enhancement of international research cooperation. It will bring together International NCPs from around the globe and European Commission officials to discuss ways to improve international participation in the new Framework Programme. The event is organized by the DG for Research and Innovation of the European Commission and the INCONTACT 2020 project which promotes the capacity building. Registration will be open until 17 November.

    ener2i Brokerage Event and Energy Training Workshop in Moldova

    The FP7 project ener2i invites to a brokerage and energy workshop in Moldova on renewable energies, energy efficiency and innovation issues. The brokerage event will provide a platform for face-2-face meetings of researchers, companies and multipliers (technoparks, etc.) on energy, and for stimulating partnerships and new projects for bi-lateral cooperation and in Horizon 2020. The workshop will provide state of the art information on energy and innovation issues. Target Group: Researchers, companies and multipliers (technoparks, etc.) from the EU, Moldova, other EaP countries and countries associated to Horizon 2020.

    Visegrad Scholarship Program (VSP)

    Each year the Visegrad Fund offers scholarschips to students and researchers for research or study at a chosen institution in one of the Visegrad Group countries: Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary or Slovakia. Eligible are scientists and students (with a minimum of four semesters at university) from: Albania (AL), Armenia (AM), Azerbaijan (AZ), Belarus (BY), Bosnia and Herzegovina (BA), Czech Republic (CZ), Georgia (GE), Hungary (HU), Kosovo (XK), Macedonia (MK), Moldova (MD), Montenegro (ME), Poland (PL), Russia (RU), Serbia (RS), Slovakia (SK), and Ukraine (UA). The scholarships cover all scientific disciplines.

    Grant Scheme to facilitate the Participation of Eastern Partnership and Central Asian Countries in EU Brokerage Events

    This grant scheme will financially support the participation of local researchers from Eastern Partnership and Central Asian countries in large-scale brokerage events and other similar activities related to Horizon2020 in the EU Members States or Associated Countries. The thematic priorities of the call are the three Societal Challenges, targeted by the project, namely Health, Energy and Climate Change. There will be approximately 6-9 grants (2000-3000 EUR per grant) per country.

    INTERACT - International Network for Terrestrial Research and Monitoring in the Arctic

    INTERACT is an infrastructure project under the auspices of SCANNET, a circumarctic network of 59 terrestrial field bases in northern Europe, Russia, US, Canada, Greenland, Iceland, the Faroe Islands and Scotland. The project specifically seeks to build capacity for research and monitoring in the European Arctic and beyond, and is offering access to numerous research stations through the Transnational Access program.
