    EU eases Visa Rules for Researchers and Students from Non-EU Countries

    The European Parliament has passed a new visa directive on European Union entry and residence that makes it easier and more attractive for people from third countries to study or do research at EU universities. Member states will have two years to implement the directive, which will ensure that students and researchers may stay at least nine months after finishing their studies or research, and can move more easily within the EU during their stay

    Armenia joins Horizon 2020

    The agreement associating Armenia to Horizon 2020 was signed yesterday by Carlos Moedas, European Commissioner for Research, Science and Innovation, and Levon Mkrtchyan, Armenian Minister for Education and Science. Thanks to the new agreement, Armenia's research institutes, universities and individual researchers will now have access to all opportunities offered by Horizon 2020 in diverse areas, from fundamental science to demonstration projects, on an equal footing with researchers and organisations from EU Member States and other countries associated to the programme.

    Webinar on Horizon 2020 – General Introduction for Ukrainian Participants

    In line with RI-LINKS2UA objectives to further encourage and facilitate cooperation between research actors from the EU and Ukraine and to promote EU-Ukrainian participation in joint projects in Horizon 2020, we are pleased to announce the first RI-LINKS2UA webinar on Horizon 2020 addressing future Ukrainian participants in EU funded S&T projects.     German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and Armenian State Commitee of Science support R&D Cooperation Projects

    The Armenian State Commitee of Science (SCS) and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) have announced a funding measure for research and development projects with at least one German and one Armenian partner. Eligible thematic fields include bio-technologies / life sciences, material sciences, optical technologies, information and communication technologies, as well as environment protection techologies and sustainability research. Project outlines have to be submitted until 14 July 2016.
