    Twinning Grants a huge success – calls closing soon!

    The IncoNet EaP and IncoNet CA 'Twinning Grants' support collaboration to jointly participate in Horizon2020 calls. Twinning is a core activity of both IncoNets and has a long tradition in Europe as a successful instrument in capacity building processes. Because of the great success of these calls, the funds are already running up. Therefore they will soon be closing and only very few additional applications have a chance to receive funding.

    Good News for EU-Russia Science Cooperation

    The Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation publishes dedicated calls to offer funding support for Russian Horizon 2020 participants in accordance with its own call procedures. Several of these – closing in September/ October 2015 – have been included in the latest issue of the 'S&T Gate RUS.EU' newsletter, which is compiled by the EU funded BILAT-RUS Advanced project.

    Horizon 2020 Health Partnering Event & Info Day

    Connected to the Open Info Day of the European Commission (September 18th, 2015 in Brussels) dedicated to 'Health, Demographic Change and Wellbeing' (SC1) in Horizon 2020, the EU-funded projects Fit for Health 2.0 and Health-NCP-Net 2.0 are organising a free of charge Partnering Event on September 17th, 2015 in Brussels which is meant to assist you in finding the right project partners for the upcoming 2016 Health calls. The launch of the next Work Program is planned for October 2015 and the first deadlines will be in the beginning of 2016, so this would be the perfect opportunity for your institution to build your consortium.

    Policy Stakeholders Conference 'Energy Research and Innovation in the Eastern Partnership'

    The IncoNet EaP project is organising a Policy Stakeholders Conference (PSC) with a focus on 'Energy Research and Innovation' in Minsk, Belarus on 12-13 October 2015. This will be the 2nd Policy Stakeholders Conference organised by the project and the 6th in a series of similar events targeting the Eastern Partnership region started by its predecessor project IncoNet EECA.The event is adjusted to 'ENERGY EXPO 2015', the largest expo in the energy sector in Belarus which this year marks its 20th anniversary.

    Call for Grant Applications: Civil Society Monitoring of Public Service Delivery and Public Accountability (Eastern Partnership)

    Grants supporting civil society actions to monitor the effectiveness of government resource allocation and public service delivery are being made available under Partners in Empowerment, an EU-funded project led by PASOS (Policy Association for an Open Society), working closely with country partners and the Partnership for Transparency Fund e.V. The project focuses on five Eastern Partnership countries (Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova, and Ukraine).

    Ukraine in European Dialogue Fellowships

    This junior fellowship program aims to support the research of Ukrainian scholars who are completing or have recently completed doctoral studies in a Ukrainian institution of higher education. It offers access to the resources of the IWM in Vienna to younger researchers who have demonstrated exceptional talent to allow them to work on a research project of their own choice.

  • | Project of the Month – Sepetmber 2015

    TASIM – Trans-Eurasian Information Super Highway

    The TASIM project is a long term initiative aimed at the creation of a transnational fiber-optic backbone from Western Europe to Eastern Asia. The project envisages building a major transit route from Frankfurt to Hong Kong passing China, Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey to Germany. A redundancy northern route passing Russia, Ukraine and Poland is also considered. The implementation of TASIM is supported by Eur@CA, the Eurasian Connectivity Alliance – a platform for  policy dialogue and international cooperation  between the related governments, UN system organisations and other stakeholders.
