    BarCamp St. Petersburg: Alternative Event Formats of Science Communication – apply now!

    In cooperation with policult, paper Media, and ITMO University, the German-Russian Forum will host a BarCamp in St. Petersburg for young professionals interested in alternative formats of science communication. The BarCamp is intended to provide participants with the potential for realising such formats in their own countries. The organisers are looking to recruit 40 participants from Belarus, Germany, Russia, and Ukraine. The BarCamp is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.

    The 1st Eastern Partnership E-Infrastructure Conference (EaPEC 2016) aims to serve as a platform for collaboration on policy and research and supports community building in e-Infrastructures between the Eastern Partnership region and the EU member states. This two-day conference will focus on e-Infrastructures for Open Science in Europe. Speakers will lead interactive discussions about Open Science and foster the exchange of ideas in research areas such as physics and seismology, biomedical sciences, robotics, data analytics, climate and ecology.

    Pre-anouncement: New Round of 'Call for EU-Eastern Partnership Twinning Projects'

    The 'International Cooperation Network for Eastern Partnership Countries' (IncoNet EaP) project will launch a third call for proposals for 'Twinning Grants': Due to the recent association of Armenia and Georgia to Horizon 2020 and taking into consideration the success of the first two calls, a new round of twinning among projects will open in early and close at the end of September 2016. The intention is to boost the participation of the newly associated countries in Horizon 2020 consortia, but the call will also be open to Azerbaijan, Belarus, Moldova, and Ukraine.

    Intelum – Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research and Innovation Staff Exchange (RISE) to develop advanced scintillating and Cerenkov fibres

    Intelum is a European Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research and Innovation Staff Exchange (RISE) and International and Intersectoral mobility to develop advanced scintillating and Cerenkov fibres for new hadron and jet calorimeters for future colliders. It started on 1 March 2015 for a duration of 4 years. Intelum is coordinated by CERN. The international consortium includes sixteen institutes and companies from across Western and Eastern Europe (including partners from Armenia, Belarus, Russia and Ukraine), Japan and the USA, all of which are experts in crystal growth, scintillating mechanisms, radiation damage and detector design.
