    BILAT-UKR*AINA 2nd Stakeholders’ Forum: Enhancing Ukraine’s Competitiveness in RI on the way to the Association to Horizon 2020

    Lessons learnt and good practices in the process of Ukarine's association to the EU Framework Programmes as well as innovation supporting measures and policies were in the focus of the 2nd Stakeholders’ Forum of the BILAT-UKR*AINA project. On the programme were presentations of expert speakers and plenty of opportunity for discussions. The event atracted more than 70 participants.

    Kick-off Meeting for the STI Policy Mix Peer Reviews of Armenia, Georgia and Kyrgyzstan

    On 22-23 January 2015, the Centre for Regional and International STI Studies & Support (CeRISS, Greece) and the Centre for Social Innovation (ZSI, Austria) organised a Kick-off Meeting for the S&T Policy Mix Peer Reviews of Armenia, Georgia and Kyrgyzstan in the framework of the IncoNet EaP and IncoNet CA projects. At the meeting, senior experts and policy-makers from the EU Member States and Associated Countries as well as high-level stakeholders from Armenia, Georgia and Kyrgyzstan specified the areas to be reviewed and set a time schedule for the on-site visits of the three expert panels in March/ April 2015.

    Health Research from an International Perspective: Scientific Landscape of Eastern Partnership (EaP) and Central Asian (CA) Countries

    The ASEAN-EU STI Days bring together researchers, scientists, policy makers, innovative companies, and other stakeholders for a yearly three-day conference on science, technology, and innovation issues and bi-regional co-operation. 'Health' is one of the focus areas of SEA-EU-NET 2, IncoNet EaP and IncoNet CA, three projects that support the advancement of the policy dialogue btween the European Union and the countries in their respective partner regions. The invitation of the IncoNet projects ensures networking on a larger scale. Both slots dedicated to EaP and CA are also open for EU and ASEAN researchers.

    Call for Scientific Evaluators for Benchmarking of Energy related Research Organisations in Central Asia

    The IncoNet CA (S&T International Cooperation Network for Central Asian Countries) project is conducting a benchmarking exercise of research organisations in Central Asian countries (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan) working in the field of energy. For the implementation of this benchmarking exercise we are looking for experienced experts from the field of energy with profound research management and research strategy analysis capabilities, who will act as scientific evaluators under this benchmarking exercise. IncoNet CA is an EU (FP7) funded International Cooperation Network project.

    Junior Fellowship for Scholars from Ukraine

    This fellowship program, jointly organized by the Institute for Human Sciences in Vienna and the Center for Urban History of East Central Europe in Lviv (Ukraine), supports research on the legacies of Europe in the history of Ukraine. Topics include modern intellectual, cultural, social and political history. Themes related to urban studies or to one of the IWM’s research fields are likewise welcomed.

    The man aim of the EECA-2-HORIZON project is to reinforce the development of strategic and mutually beneficial partnerships in ICT between the EU and the Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA) countries. The overall goal is to strengthen the links and boost cooperation among the research and industrial communities of both regions to exploit emerging opportunities for international partnerships (both under EU and EECA RTD&I programmes) and jointly address common societal challenges.
