    New: Update of incrEAST Country Reports 2016

    The incrEAST Country Reports are currently being updated. 2016 data for Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan will be available online by the end of this week. The country reports for Armenia and Ukraine have already been updated in 2016. incrEAST Country Reports provide detailed information about the scientific landscape, research structure, STI policies and international cooperation activities of 12 countries in Eastern Europe, the South Caucasus and Central Asia.

    Summer School on 'Energy Efficiency: International Project Management – from Theory to Practice' held in Vienna

    The IncoNet Eap Summer School on 'Energy Efficiency: International Project Management – from Theory to Practice' was held between 13-17 June 2016 in Vienna under the co-organisation of ZSI and TUBITAK. 24 participants, with academic, NGO, and private sector backgrounds, attended the summer school. They came from 18 different countries, the majority of them from the Eastern Partnership region.

    Marie Sklodowska-Curie Forum 2016 – Where business and research talent meet

    Companies and especially SMEs do not necessarily have the resources or human capital to run their research projects as they would like to. Thanks to the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA), it is now possible for companies to collaborate with academic research organisations, have access to their equipment, and integrate some of their highly skilled researchers.  The objective of this workshop is to discuss the role of the MSCA in supporting researchers to develop their careers outside academia and in businesses in particular.

    German Federal Ministry of Education and Research and Armenian State Committee of Science support R&D Cooperation Projects

    The Armenian State Committee of Science (SCS) and the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) have announced a funding measure for research and development projects with at least one German and one Armenian partner. Eligible thematic fields include bio-technologies / life sciences, material sciences, optical technologies, information and communication technologies, as well as environment protection techologies and sustainability research. Project outlines have to be submitted until 14 July 2016.

    EU-STRAT: The European Union and its Eastern Partner Countries – An Inside-Out Analysis and Strategic Assessment

    The EU-STRAT project started on 1 May 2016 and will continue until the end of April 2019. The main ambition of EU-STRAT is to provide an inside-out analysis and strategic assessment of the links between the EU and Eastern Partnership countries. EU-STRAT will address two main questions: First, why has the EU fallen short of creating peace, prosperity and stability in its Eastern neighbourhood? And second, what can be done to strengthen the EU’s transformative power in supporting political and economic change in the six Eastern Partnership countries?
