BMBF’s International Dialogue on Sustainability Research Now Online

State Secretary Professor Meyer-Krahmer (BMBF) and five outstanding “Green Talents” from Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa (BRICS) launch www.dialogue4s.de (picture: Gowers, IB)The dialogue series on sustainability research (“Dialogue for Sustainability” or “D4S”) with Russia, Brazil, China, India and South Africa has the aim of developing and expanding international cooperation in different areas of research, including climate protection, land use, water, energy and environmental technology. Several interministerial agreements in this area have been concluded in the last two years, and the most important results have now been published on http://www.dialogue4s.de/.  With its “Dialogue for Sustainability”, the BMBF wants to contribute towards solving global challenges by working together with emerging economies.

The new website will gradually be developed into a knowledge database and an interactive platform for the international dialogue on sustainability research. It is primarily aimed at “sustainability experts” from the spheres of politics, research and industry in Germany and in the above-mentioned partner countries.
