The International University of Central Asia is pleased to announce the conference entitled "Development of Central Asian States: Perspectives and Risks", which is to be held on June 4 (Saturday), 2011 in Tokmok, Kyrgyzstan.

We invite:

  • Researchers, teachers, postgraduates, doctoral students, scholars;
  • 4th and 5th year students studying for a degree in Diplomacy and International Relations, Political Science or International Business;
  • Other professionals interested in the topics of the conference.

  • This conference is held for the exchange of scholarly and practical experience, ideas, opinions and projects.

    The keynote speakers will be well-known diplomats, politicians and political scientists.

    There will be three sections:
  • Socio-political challenges in Central Asian states
  • Nationalism: Ideologies and nation-building in Central Asian states
  • Central Asian states and globalization: Challenges of external influence on the region

  • The official language of the conference is Russian. However the Organizing Committee will also accept presentations in English. Interpreters will be provided upon request.
