The meeting includes a panel discussion in English on the topic "Looking inside-out: Strategies for transforming the Neighbourhood".

The event will take place at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania, in Berlin. The meeting is public, admission is free.

The new project will tackle questions such as: Why has the EU fallen short of creating peace, prosperity and stability in its Eastern neighbourhood? What can be done to strengthen the EU´s transformative power in supporting political and economic change in the six Eastern Partnership (EaP)-countries?

The Freie Universität Berlin is the co-ordinating institution of the overall project. Coordinator is Prof. Dr. Tanja A. Börzel, holder of the Jean Monnet Chair and Director of the European Integration Office. The EU-STRAT consortium comprises eleven partners, including six universities, three think tanks, a civil society organisation and a consulting firm. The research project is funded unter Horizon 2020, the current EU framework programme for research and innovation.
