ener2i International Brokerage Event and Synergy Workshop

The main objective of the ener2i EU Brokerage Event is to foster networking and knowledge exchange between transnational and local stakeholders and to support the development of joint projects and cooperative activities.The event will target a wide range of companies, universities and researchers from Europe, EaP countries, and countries associated to the Horizon 2020 programme. The event will foster the creation of consortia for the upcoming Horizon 2020 calls.

The main objectives of the Synergy Workshop are: 

  • Inform policy and decision makers in EU and EaP countries about the key conclusions of the ener2i project
  • Elaborate policy recommendations to stimulate further innovation and research for energy efficiency and RES in EaP countries, with a special focus on the business sector
  • Outlining cooperation opportunities among EU and EaP partners in the EE/RES and relation innovation field
  • Roadmap with actions needed in the short-term, medium-term and long-term to start this process
  • Contribute to an innovation cooperation programme in EE/RES
  • Prepare a policy brief on the basis of the recommendations

Please note that the Call for paper for the conference have been extended to January 8th 2016

Track 1: Brown-field development. Smart urban areas will have to exploit all possible potentials to increase their settlement density to enable growth without squandering precious land resources.

Track 2: Metropolitan regions. Smart metropolitan regions will provide a mixture of urbanized and recreational areas to allow a wide variety of activities, limiting urban sprawl, attracting industry and commerce and providing cultural centres.

Track 3: Green Urban Mobility. Mobility is a basic demand for economic and social development. The transition to smarter and cleaner mobility requires further development of efficient transport technologies, infrastructure management, and logistic organization.
