It aimed to bring together stakeholders from the scientific community and S&T intensive industry of the Eastern European and Central Asian Countries (EECA)* and of EU Member States and Associated countries. Overall 48 participants from 15 countries attended the meeting in Chisinau (Moldova) from 28.04.- 30.04.2009.
EU officials and the coordinator of the IncoNet EECA project presented a brief overview on recent developments for S&T cooperation in the EECA region and the EU. After the participant briefly presented their scientific profile and main research activities a round table discussion helped to identify mutual EU-EECA key research topics within the fields of:
Results of this workshop will provide input to the European Commission and to the Health Programme that could be used for the definition of Specific International Cooperation Activities (SICA) to be included in future Health Work Programmes.
