'Horizon 2020 Week' for the Eastern Partnership Region

A 'Horizon 2020 Week -2015’ will be held in Minsk on 21-23 September 2015. It is adjusted to the forthcoming adoption by the European Commission of the new Work Programme 2016-2017 to be launched later this autumn.  The Week is organised by the Belarusian Institute of System Analysis and Information Support for Science and Technology in the framework and with support from the FP7 projects IncoNet EaP and EAST-HORIZON.
The 'Horizon 2020 Week -2015’ will comprise 3 events:
  1. IncoNet EaP Information Day, 21 September 2015 with a focus on Societal Challenges 'Energy' and 'Climate Change', as well as on opportunities for getting support for Energy and Climate Research from Marie Sklodowska-Curie Programme.

    Presentation of the topics of the future calls mixed with success stories of Belarus FP7 and HORIZON 2020 partners will show both opportunities and benefits of cooperation in the EU-funded programs. The local partners in IncoNet EaP, Ener2i, NoGap and INNOVER-EAST projects will tell participants which support instruments funded by the EU are currently available for promoting the collaboration. For the first time, the Enterprise EuropeNetwork which Belarus recently joined, and COST will be presented.
  2. IncoNet EaP Training for Newcomers, 21-22 September 2015 will be based on the Work Programme and Participant Portal. By mixing a theory with hands-on activities, group work and brain-storming sessions, it is aimed at providing participants with some practical skills necessary for being a partner in a Horizon 2020 project.

    The training will be held by experienced experts from the Estonian Research Council.
  3. EAST-HORIZON Training on Proposal Development, 22-23 September 2015 will address the new HORIZON 2020 ICT programme, with special emphasis on proposal ideas evaluation. Participants are invited to actively participate in the training by drafting their proposal idea to openly present and discuss it during the training. This approach aims to take the training from theory to action, and allow participants to have a real feeling on proposal drafting and evaluation. The training foresees an open discussion on presented proposal ideas and participants’ interaction with both the trainers and fellow participants.

    The training is provided by the experienced EU experts, partners of EAST-HORIZON project.
