Russian Governments’ Open Grant Competition winners selected
On September 21, 2011, the Grants Council of the Government of the Russian Federation revealed the names of 39 scientists - the winners of the open grant competition of the Government of the Russian Federation designed to support research projects implemented by leading scientists at Russian institutions of higher learning.
A list of the winners is available on the website of the Ministry of education and science of the Russian Federation.
517 scientists and 176 Russian Universities participated in the competition. Among participants were 230 Russian citizens (65 of them are currently working abroad); 212 foreign citizens; 75 people have dual nationality. Among the winners of 19 scientists are Russian citizens (13 of them have dual nationality). Only one scientist is domiciled in Russia. Among the foreign scientists 10 have U.S. citizenship (of which four have dual citizenship), 6 - citizens of France, 4 - citizens of Germany.
