In the framework of the S&T Cooperation Programme between the National Authority for Scientific Research of Romania (ANCS) and the Academy of Sciences of Moldova (ASM), 24 joint research projects were approved for funding to be implemented from May 1, 2010 to November 11, 2012.
The aim of the Programme is to strengthen the cooperation, links between the researchers of the two countries in all scientific fields and the implementation of scientific results in common interest fields. An important criterion in the selection of the projects was the potential to further develop the research cooperation within European and international R&D programmes, especially the EU’s 7th Framework Programme.
Selected projects correspond to the following thematic priorities: food and agriculture (4 projects); environment, natural resources and energy (4 projects); health (5 projects); new materials, micro- and nanotechnologies (7 projects); information society technologies (3 projects); and products and services (1 project).
