Information Exchange in Science, Technology and Innovation
between the European Research Area and Eastern Europe/South Caucasus/Central Asia

incrEAST is an information platform designed to:
  • help intensify international cooperation in science and technology between the European Union and the countries of Eastern Europe, South Caucasus, and Central Asia
  • facilitate the networking of research organisations, policy stakeholders and individuals from these regions, and
  • promote scientific and research policy dialogue between countries of the target regions and EU Member States.

incrEAST provides:

  • detailed and up-to-date information about the political development of research and technology in Eastern Europe, South Caucasus, and Central Asia
  • information about collaborative projects, programmes and partner organisations, as well as about potential Host Institutions in Eastern Europe, South Caucasus, and Central Asia for EU researchers, and
  • contact information for local experts.

The platform is geared towards researchers, developers and scientists who are interested in carrying out cross-border research projects, gaining experience in cooperating with the European Union, and conducting further research on the results of joint projects. incrEAST is also aimed at decision-makers in politics and in the private sector.

IncrEAST was initiated and is run by the EU FP7 funded projects IncoNet EECA (Eastern Europe/Central Asia) and IncoNet CA/SC (Central Asia/South Caucasus). Regional correpondents from these projects – experts for the science landscapes and research policies of their countries – regularly update the information provided here. In addition, the Central Information Office of both IncoNets has developed close links with other EU cooperation projects trageting these regions, which regularly contribute their expertise to this portal.
