The other possible area of mutual interest is an exchange of experts for evaluation of the national S&T projects. The system of independent evaluation in Armenia and the appropriate data base of experts are similar to the American one. It includes 1400 evaluators of which 250 are the foreigners. For evaluation, 2 experts are chosen from the data base according to their code numbers. If their opinions differ considerably, the additional expert is chosen for taking the final decision.
The separate agreement on cooperation between the academies of sciences was signed in May 2010 during the visit of the delegation of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus (NASB) to Yerevan. It was led by Chairman of the NASB Presidium Mikhail Myasnikovich. The Belarusian academicians took part in the extended session of the Presidium of the National Academy of Sciences of Armenia where they discussed the ways to boost the S&T cooperation which has a great reserve for expanding.
The visit of the Belarusian delegation to Armenia will run until 19 May. The program included the meeting of Mikhail Myasnikovich with the President and Prime Minister of Armenia.
