Joint Uzbek-U.S. Competion: Management of Land and Water Resources

On May 15 of this year the U.S. Civilian Research & Development Foundation (CRDF) announced a joint grant competition on water and land resources. This call exclusively addresses joint research teams including Uzbek as well as U.S. scientists.
CRDF and the Committee for Coordination Science and Technology Development of Uzbekistan will support joint Uzbek-American groups carrying out research intended for the development of the practical usage of water and land resources in Uzbekistan. In the frame of this program will be allocated the grants in the Sum about 65000 US-Dollars for the duration of 2 years for the financial support of American and Uzbek researchers. 

CRDF: 2010 Research Grant Competition in Uzbekistan

CRDF accepts an applications in all scientific disciplines. In the competition the scientific projects can be allowed in the following themes;

  1. The study of stable water consumption methods in the land utilization:
  2. The research methods of earth quality improvement related to earth utilization: or
  3. The study of earth or water resources restoration possibilities, degraded earth in the result of  Natural disaster and/or man’s impact

Common scientific concepts:

All applications should be referred to the usage of water and earth resources. The applications in all scientific disciplines will be considered including below mentioned priorities:

  • Biology
  • Chemistry
  • Geology
  • Mathematics
  • Physics
  • Electronics, Materials and Engineering
