The 11th International Conference on Perspectives in Business Informatics Research (BIR 2012) will be held at the National Research University "Higher School of Economics" in Nizhny Novgorod from 24 - 26 of September 2012.
The conference invites scientists from all over the world to present their papers on topics of future directions in business informatics research. The best accepted research papers of the conference will be published by Springer LNBIP. Other accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings.
Traditionally a Doctoral consortium will take place in the frame of the BIR 2012 conference.
The BIR conference series originates from an initiative of the late professor Bengt G. Lundberg of Växjö and Stockholm universities and colleagues at the universities of Rostock and Berlin. They wanted to create a forum where researchers in business informatics, senior as well as junior, could meet and discuss with each other. The term business informatics was chosen as a translation of German "Wirtschaftsinformatik".
