Info Day on FP7 Call “Reinforcing cooperation with Europe’s neighbours in the context of the ERA” (FP7-INCO-2011-6, ERA-WIDE)

The State Committee for Science and Technology of Belarus together with the FP7 National Information Point is going to carry out an Information Day dedicated to the FP7 Call “Reinforcing cooperation with Europe’s neighbours in the context of the ERA” (FP7-INCO-2011-6, ERA-WIDE) on 16 September 2010 in Minsk. It will include a workshop and a training session on proposal preparation.

The event is dedicated to the Call launched on 20 July 2010. It foresees a support to leading research centers in Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine in order to improve their cooperation capacity with EU in the thematic priorities of the FP7 – health, food - agriculture – biotechnology, nanotechnologies and materials, information and communication technologies, energy, environment (including climate change), transport, space, social sciences and humanities.

The tasks of the Information day are as follows:

Workshop – to inform the scientific community about the rules for participation in the Call and results of the previous ERA-WIDE Call (hold in 2009), as well as to uncover research centers interested in submitting a proposal in order to further assist them in proposal preparation;

Training – to inform selected participants about the methodology of proposal preparation and on-line services; to consult on selection of the scientific area, partners, types of activities and other aspects to be reflected in a proposal.

To take part in the Information day the representatives of research organizations and universities are invited which are interested to submit proposals, including the authors of the proposals which have been submitted to the ERA-WIDE-2010 Call and experts who drafted proposals but have not finalized them in time.

The action will take place in the small conference hall in BELARUS HOTEL, 15, Storozhevskaya str., Minsk. Registration – from 9.30, the Workshop starts at 10.00. Participation is free-of-charge. Participation in the training is limited.
