Belarusian Republican Foundation for Fundamental Research and Centre Natioanal de la Recherche Scientifique, France has launched the joint call for proposals “BRFFR – CNRS(PICS) - 2010”. Within the Call the 2 years basic research projects in different areas of research will be supported. They have to be carried out by Belarusian and CNRS teams which have got already the experience of cooperation and joint publications.

In December 2007, the International Bureau (IB) – on behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF) – and the Russian Foundation for Assistance to Small Innovative Enterprises (FASIE) concluded an agreement to jointly support future German-Russian cooperation projects. Following the successful first joint call in summer 2008, the two organizations now want to consolidate their partnership. To this end, they are publishing a second joint call for proposals. The call is mainly aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises in Germany and Russia that are active in the field of research.

In 2001, the Gerda Henkel Foundation established a sponsorship programme to support the up-and-coming generation of historians in Russia, the Ukraine, Moldova and Belarus. The aim of this special programme is to facilitate research projects which are concerned with the history of the young scholar’s own country. Furthermore, the programme is intended to encourage research making use of historical archive material. Preferably, the programme’s participants should cooperate with German historians who specialise in Eastern European studies, who will assume the role of mentors and maintain regular contact with the scholarship holders.

In 2004, the Gerda Henkel Foundation launched a programme to support outstanding scholars whose research is focused on Central Asia, mainly on Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Mongolia, Northern Afghanistan, Southern Siberia, Tadzhikistan, Tibet, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan and Xinjiang. The programme aims to stimulate academic research projects in the areas of Archaeology and Art History as well as projects in the fields of History, Historic Islamic Studies, Architecture and the Fine Arts. Scientists from Central Asian countries are invited to apply for this programme.

Call for the fellowships of the President of Belarus for young researchers for 2009
According to the Edict of the President of Belarus No. 367 of 11 August 2023 “About stimulating creative activities of the young researchers” 100 fellowships of the President of Belarus for young researchers have been set up. They are awarded annually for the period of 1 year to the doctors of science at the age up to 45, candidates of sciences (PhDs) – up to 35, and also to researchers without scientific degree – up to 30 for achievements in priority areas of basic and applied research, S&T; activities, and also impact in social and economic development of the country.
