A web-portal of the International Association of Academies of Sciences is opened
International Association of Academies of Sciences is the international non-governmental organization created in 1993 in Kiev by representatives of the national academies of sciences of 15 states of Europe and Asia with the purpose of joining efforts for decision of major scientific problems and creating new partnerships between researchers. Now its web-portal is available at
http://www.iaas.nas.gov.ua.
At the moment the network is composed by the academies of sciences of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Vietnam, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Tadjikistan. There are also several associated members including Belarusian Republican Foundation for Fundamental Research, Lomonosov Moscow State University, Moscow Physics Technical Institute, United Institute of Nuclear Research in Dubna (Russia), Russian Humanity Scientific Foundation and Russian Foundation for Basic Research.
The content of the portal is as follows:
- detailed chronicle of the IAAS activities for 15 years,
- IAAS structure,
- management bodies and scientific councils,
- periodic editions and other publications,
- archive of the IAAS decisions.
