    Scientific Community of the Republic of Moldova joins the European Research Area

    On 1 January, the Republic of Moldova became the first country in the Eastern Partnership and the second in the European Neighborhood Policy associated to the Seventh Framework Programme  (FP7). On this occasion, on January 27, the Academy of Sciences of Moldova organised an official launching event to mark Moldova’s association to FP7, a status that will offer new opportinities to cooperate and compete as an equal partner in all calls announced within FP7, to become a part of the European network of scientists and to benefit from Europe's scientific potential in solving national problems.

    Moldova: 3rd edition of Energy and Environment Catalogue published

    The 3rd edition of the catalogue of Moldovan researchers, research centres, non-governmental organizations, and companies active in the fields of Environment and Energy research has been issued. It contains current and detailed information on contact persons, expertise or project ideas, experience of participation in international and national projects etc. It is a useful tool for finding appropriate partners for activities.

    The Republic of Moldova becomes member of the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN)

    On November 25, 2011 within the "InfoInvent 2011" Exhibition which took place at the Exhibitional Centre "Moldexpo", was organized the workshop dedicated to the launching of the Enterprise Europe Network in the Republic of Moldova entitled "Enterprise Europe Network: Partnerships and Opportunities".

    The Joint Operational Programme Romania-Ukraine-Republic of Moldova (2007 - 2013) launches 2nd call for proposals for cross-border projects

    The objective of the Romania-Ukraine-Republic of Moldova Joint Operational Programme for 2007-2013 is to provide the framework for the implementation of cross border activities in the context of the European Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument (ENPI).     Modovan research groups looking for EU partners to participate in FP7 projects

    The Republic of Moldova will become officially associated to the Seventh Framework Programme on 1st January 2012. A new publication features research groups from Moldova looking for EU partners to jointly take part in FP7 projects. The brochure provides information about S&T performers sorted by FP7 hematic priorities. The Catalogue of Research Groups from Moldova has been published in the framework of a project titled “Establishment of an infrastructure which encourages the efficient participation of the scientific community from Moldova in the Seventh Framework Programme” and is now available for download in PDF format.

    Moldova: new status – new opportunities

    The Republic of Moldova is at the final stage of preparing the procedures for the association to the Seventh Framework Programme. Starting with January 1, 2012 Moldovan researchers, NGOs, SMEs will be able to participate in FP7 under the status of an associated country.

    The first round of Proposal Writing Workshops organised by MOLD-ERA

    The first round of Proposal Writing Workshops in the framework of FP7 MOLD-ERA project was held on June 29 – July 1 and July 4-6, 2011 in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. The purpose of the events was to prepare and assist the researchers in better understanding the rules and regulations of FP7 and in writing successful proposals.

    Nanotechnology project launched to integrate Moldova into the European Research Area

    On November 29, 2010 the European project MOLD-ERA (Preparation for Moldova's integration into the European Research Area and into the Community R&D Framework Programs on the basis of scientific excellence) was launched in Chisinau, Moldova, attended by 8 participants from 2 partner-countries. Two more partners from UK and Germany joined the meeting via Skype.

    FP7 National Contact Points in Moldova

    As a result of a contest among young researchers, announced in 2008 by the Supreme Council for Science and Technological Development of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova, six young researchers were nominated as National Contact Points (NCP) for seven thematic priorities of FP7. Besides these, an NCP for mobility was nominated within the Center of International Projects of the ASM and an NCP for small and medium-sized enterprises – within the Agency for Innovation and Technology Transfer.

    Project news: Profile of potential host institutions in EECA

    The “People” is a specific Programme of the EU Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7). The actions under the “People” Programme focus on mobility of researchers towards development of their scientific experience and career. The Programme is open to all domains of scientific and technological research and contains schemes for international mobility with Third Countries which are neither EU Member States (MS) nor Associated to FP7 Countries (AC). To promote a submission of joint proposals of EECA research organisations and European researchers the filled Questionnaires are posted here.
